We had been to a party that used this caterer before and liked the food so much we decided to have them repeat some of the same items for our wedding. It was great - everyone gobbled it up and loved it. (We only did hors d'oeuvres at our reception.)

Worst food ever - we ended up not hiring them. We live in the Pasadena area, they are in Orange County, and doing a wedding in Pasadena was "no problem" for them.We arranged via email and telephone a date and time for them to give us samples of our food choices. They agreed to come to Pasadena to let us sample their wares. I emailed two days before and confirmed they would be arriving. An hour before they showed up, I received two phone messages from earlier in the day - one saying that the husband had forgotten to marinate the tri-tip so they would not be bringing that, and the second wondering why I hadn't confirmed the appointment. I promptly called back, reminding Audrey I had confirmed via email, which apparently surprised her because she said she would expect a call. Three hours later they arrived with food in plastic storage bins. Food in storage bins for three hours?!? It was AWFUL - the stuffed mushrooms tasted like dirt, the salad was wilted and over-dressed with bland dressing, the chicken marsala was frozen breaded chicken breasts that tasted like rubber, and to top it all off they brough us leftover desserts from a previous party because they felt bad. To top it all off, they charged $50 for an experience that made my mother and I sick to our stomachs. After we told them we went with someone else, they had the audacity to ask why. This is the letter with which I responded:Dear Audrey and Shel,There were a couple of things that affected our decision. The catererwe decided to go with offers a wider variety of options for our pricerange, are meticulously organized and professional, the food isabsolutely delicious and they are already familiar with the venue. In comparison, there were a number of times I needed to refresh yourmemory as to what food we'd selected for our menu and tasting. Youneglected to follow through on a few things you said that you would, such as bringing the tri tip for us to sample at our tasting, as wellas calling to confirm A FEW DAYS before the tasting. Instead, youcalled the day of the tasting to re-confirm what I'd already confirmedvia email those few days before. To us, this demonstrates a lack ofprofessionalism and organization that would be worrisome on the day ofour wedding. We all took time out of our schedules to meet at 2PM, andmy husband, who works evenings, was late to his job because everything gotoff to a late start. You charged $50 for your tasting - all other caterers we met withcharged nothing. This gave us the impression that many others hadtried your food and failed to book their event with you. Additionally,True felt that it was ridiculous to charge us full price for thetasting when you did not offer the full menu of items we wouldpossibly be ordering. The food seriously lacked in quality, flavor and presentation, implying that our tasting was an afterthought. You forgot food, thingsthat were supposed to be served chilled were warm, which with plentyof preparation time should've arrived in some sort of cooler. Youserved us leftovers. The salad was wilted and there were some piecesmy mother felt had spoiled and smelled of mold. As it was, the fooddid not sit well with my mother and I, and I personally experienceddigestive troubles within a half hour of eating. Not something I wouldlike to impose on any guests, for any type of event. Frankly, Ithought very seriously about cancelling the check I wrote, but I wouldrather wash my hands of the entire fiasco and consider it a lessonlearned. My husband and I felt that we will receive more value, quality and assurancefor our money in selecting someone else. Again, thank you for thetrouble you went to in coming to Pasadena.Never heard from them again. But of course they cashed our check
