By far, best vendor at our wedding. Steve was very professional and accommodating. We were very happy with the lighting and music played at the reception. We wanted everyone up and dancing, and that is exactly what our guests was doing.

Jim was the DJ for our wedding and he was the best! He had everyone out on the dance floor from the moment our wedding reception started and it was a packed floor until the very end. A ton of our guests commented to us how great he was. The best part was though during the planning process he really made us feel comfortable and got my husband really excited about the big day! The lighting they did in the room as well was a perfect touch.

Steve was the DJ/MC at our wedding and we couldn't be more satisfied with his work. From the start he was very friendly and made sure that our vision of the wedding was top priority and that it would be reflected at the reception. He helped us with our song selections and we instantly felt a connection with him. He was referred to us by our wedding coordinator, Ruth Wang, and she only had positive feedback from her other clients on Honored Occasions. After our wedding, we had nothing but compliments about Steve from our guests - several of my friends asked for his contact information for their weddings. I have already referred Steve at Honored Occasions to several other friends. My husband and I were very happy with the outcome of our reception and we thank Steve for being a part of our special day.

Steve Shanahan from Honored Occasions was the BEST EVER! Very Energetic, everything ran smoothly and perfectly. From start to beginning he had everything under control. The lighting was magnificent, it set the mood for the perfect evening. The music, the energy. Steve made our night magical. Its been about 7 months since our wedding, and to this day someone always comments on how much the loved our M.C/DJ/LIGHTING!! Steve was an amazing DJ for our wedding. We went into looking for a DJ without a whole lot of experience and he made us feel like family immediately. He understood the type of wedding we wanted and delivered incredibly. He kept our party going the entire night and we still get complements on how wonderful our DJ was. He truly was the best we have ever seen. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Honored Occasions made our wedding! Their level of professionalism and expertise was unsurpassed. This is definitely not a company that simply provides DJ services. A DJ/MC is someone who controls the flow of the wedding. Prior to hiring Jim, we just assumed getting a DJ was someone who simply played some music. What we found out was that a "good" DJ is someone who assists you with music selection, helps you format the ceremony, coordinates the various events throughout the reception such as the first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, and fun games for the guests. The DJ/MC keeps your wedding/reception flowing in the appropriate time frame. The two main compliments that we received from our guests was how good the food was and how amazing the DJ was. Wow this company is AWESOME. I it was money well spent. Most people will hire their friends who have two turntables, some CD’s and mics. Trust me I have a lot and a few that actually DJ on famous radio shows in LA. However you need not only a DJ but a Master of Ceremony to move the crowd. We were in luck to get Steve on this one. Not only is he great but he is one of a kind. Our wedding was the first in a long time for both of our families and after a few months later the families are still speaking about the song selections and all the dancing. There was no stop dancing. Steve got the crowd so involved we had to pay extra to keep the venue open for another hour. They also have a lighting company that is up to par. They do Disney productions also. So you will spend a little more with this company but who is going pass up a memorable night on the dance floor rather than walking by an ice sculpture that will melt midway or one of those cheesy photo booths?

Steve did a good job at our wedding, but honestly I wasn't expecting as much as the service he provided. But overall he did a good job at the wedding.At our first meeting, my husband and I drove 80 miles to Brea to meet him in his office on a Sunday morning. But Steve was late by 30 minutes and did not apologize. We went with his services because he has experience at our reception venue and we wanted him to also provide lighting. Since we only needed a DJ to provide music and not an emcee, we were OK with what was happening so far.It was also strange for Steve to only address my husband when corresponding via email when I was the one writing the checks and writing most of the emails to him. He wasn't very responsive either. That put me off even further...But in all fairness, the music selection he made on the wedding day was excellent. He was professional and did what he was paid to do.
